Project SPINAKER NAWA strengthens AI and finance collaboration between ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and Warsaw University

The ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Business School and the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw are continuing to advance international research and student learning through the SPINAKER NAWA project, Application of Artificial Intelligence in Business and Finance.
As part of the partnership, academics from the University of Warsaw visited Sussex to share their latest research. delivered a seminar on spatial density in economic studies, while Associate presented research on neural network informers in algorithmic investment strategies using high-frequency Bitcoin data. also shared findings from the AISB (study of artificial intelligence and simulation of behaviour) 2026 Symposium on the legal and regulatory implications of AI and digital organisational identity for accounting interpretation.
The collaboration also enabled ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Business School students to participate in a two-week Summer School at the University of Warsaw. The summer school was delivered by academics from both institutions, and combined training in AI, machine learning, Python and R programming, business analytics, and EU AI regulation.
Funded by the SPINAKER NAWA grant, participating students received full financial support, including travel, accommodation, and daily spends.
Reflecting on the experience, BSc Finance and Technology graduate Pearce Ayodele shared their thoughts on the programme: “My time at the SPINAKER Programme at the University of Warsaw was truly transformative! Beyond sharpening my skills in AI and programming, the highlights were learning practical prompting techniques and collaborating on projects with brilliant new friends from around the world."
