Full Module Description
Programming for Engineers introduces you to algorithmic thinking, diagnostics, and the foundations of modern engineering software practice. You’ll learn C programming, a core language used in data acquisition, robotics, embedded systems, and real- world industrial applications.
By learning how to break problems into clear, logical steps, you’ll build strong coding habits that make it easier to pick up other programming languages later in your career. The module also prepares you for AI- ready engineering, including how AI tools can support coding in industry, and the importance of ethical, responsible, and GDPR compliant use of these technologies.

ï€ Security, privacy, and GDPR-compliant practices in AI-assisted development

Module learning outcomes
Apply algorithmic thinking to construct clear, logical, and efficient C-based solutions.
Implement and test C programs for diagnostics and engineering applications using appropriate programming structures and tools.

Demonstrate professional programming practices by debugging, documenting, and refining code.
