Module learning outcomes
An advanced grasp of how different societies conceptualize and experience the social, ethical and political issues related to the life sciences – facilitating
Ability to apply main social-science approaches to global, national and local societal issues in the life sciences and society
A constructive but critical understanding of the social and ethical issues of conducting life science research and applications
Ability to analyse and assess development in the life sciences and biotechnology from different theoretical points of view and perspectives
Ability to construct and present arguments about the life sciences, cultural and society in both written and verbal form, using theoretical and empirical data
Work for NGOs in national and international organisations for bioethics and human rights organisations and educational institutions in this area
