Module Outline
This module critically examines home, drawing on interdisciplinary literatures and global research examples. Workshops will focus on conceptualising and understanding home in relation to the financialisation of housing, shifting modes of belonging in everyday life, and home trauma emerging in global polycrisis. Specific topics will include home unmaking in relation to climate change, conflict, and displacement, planetary gentrification and domicide, global challenges of housing affordability, the lived experience of homelessness, feminist intersectional approaches to housing and care, and the impact of housing design and quality on dwelling practices, health and wellbeing.

Provide evidence of detailed knowledge and understanding of a diversity in experiences of home.
Identify, explore, and critically discuss appropriate empirical evidence in response to essay titles.
