How can staff and students access Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) apps and related services?
The University has an Adobe Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA), which includes the following features:
- All staff and students have access to Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) apps on Sussex owned devices.
- Staff can install Adobe CC apps on personally owned devices. - see below for details
- Staff and students are provided with Adobe generative AI credits - see below for more information.
- Some students are provided with an Adobe home-use license which provides access to CC apps on personally owned devices. Licenses are provided to specific student groups within both the Engineering and Informatics and MAH schools, where there is an identified academic requirement.
Adobe Generative AI Credits
- AI credits are available to staff and students, depending on the type of license.
- Credits can be consumed on or generative AI features.
- Staff are provided with 1,000 premium generation features and unlimited standard generation features per month. See note 1
- Students are provided with 250 standard generation features per month.
- Students assigned a home-use license are provided with 3,000 premium generation features and unlimited standard generation features per month. See note 2

Note 1: Premium generation features are soft-capped. which means, when the monthly limit is exceeded, premium generative AI features will continue to work but performance will be throttled.
Note 2: Premium generation features are hard-capped, when the monthly limit is exceeded, premium generative AI features will unavailable until the next monthly reset (14th of each month).
Adobe Express and Acrobat AI

Installing Adobe apps on personally owned devices for staff, and Students assigned a home-use license.
In order to install applications like Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Adobe DC or InDesign, you need to install the Adobe Creative Cloud app first. This app will show a list of available software, along with buttons to install each application.
To download Adobe CC:
- Click this link:
- When prompted, enter your Sussex username followed by @sussex.ac.uk
- Click Sign In
- Enter your Sussex password when prompted
- You will see a list of available applications. Download and install the Adobe CC app.
Cloud Storage
Whilst Adobe do provide cloud storage, staff and students are strongly advised to store files on OneDrive.
