Illustrate in-depth knowledge of the Turkish historical framework and how this has shaped Modern Turkish politics

Demonstrate an appreciation of the conflictual dynamics that characterize the socio-political environment of the country (with a focus on actors, institutions, and processes).

Develop an understanding of the contemporary challenges Turkey faces both domestically and internationally

Critically evaluate and analyse academic research on Turkey as well as develop well informed and compelling arguments in respect to key topics covered in the module.
