Module Outline
This module explores the application and strategic implications of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in contemporary business practice. Students will learn to evaluate, apply, and interpret machine learning models in real-world business contexts, including marketing, operations, and strategic planning. Emphasis is placed on both the technical implementation and the ethical, legal, and organisational considerations of AI deployment. By the end of the module, students will be equipped to assess the impact of ML/AI tools on business performance, decision-making processes, and organisational transformation, bridging the gap between data science innovation and strategic business application.

Critically evaluate the role and limitations of machine learning and AI techniques in strategic business contexts.
Apply appropriate ML/AI tools to real-world business problems using relevant programming environments.
Interpret, communicate, and visualise the results of ML/AI models to support business decision-making.
Critically evaluate the ethical and organisational implications of AI adoption, including algorithmic bias, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
