Remedies in Private Law (Spring) (M6130)

Spring teaching
On this module, you’ll explore remedies for breach of contract, tort and equitable wrongdoing.
A key focus is the commonalities and differences in the measures of compensation in contract, tort and equity.
Other remedies you will cover include:
- exemplary damages
- gain-based remedies
- specific relief.
We may also consider other common law jurisdictions. This module is particularly useful if you wish to go into legal practice.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 20 hours of contact time and about 130 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
